Hi, Noel here again.<\/p>\n

2 blog posts in 2 weeks! Hopefully there is some info in them that you enjoy. I thought I’d check in and talk a little about another use for Maglus beyond your tablet or phone. <\/p>\n

As a Product Designer I use a lot of various software and techniques to develop ideas. At the very early stages of a new product development, ideas are developed to a concept. Concepts allow me to communicate an idea through a visual medium. Often times this will be in the form of some sketching and then when I bring them a little further the initial sketching may be brought into a software package to help develop and polish the concept.<\/p>\n

I like to use Adobes Photoshop<\/a> to help me at this part of the process as well as Autodesk Sketchbook Designer<\/a>. When using these pieces of software a good workflow helps me to get the most from them. I use a MacBook Pro and the sometimes it can be difficult to get the sort of precision required for using tools like erasers and paintbrushes on the computer track pad<\/a>. I found a way to get around these issues by using Maglus<\/a> as a pen and treating the trackpad as a small pen tablet. It requires a little learning but it really helps when you want to get something done quickly and require decent precision.<\/p>\n

What I do is hold down the trackpad in the bottom left corner and then I use Maglus as a pen on the rest of the track pad. Really simple, really fast, really effective.
