It’s holiday season! Let’s do a list of what we need while away: bikini, sunscreen, beach towel, sunglasses, t-shirts, flip-flops, book, mp3 player, maps, travel guides.. what else?<\/span><\/p>\n

Well it’s time to relax, discover new places, meet new people and leave work behind for a little while. So let’s say goodbye to our laptop and start a digital detox<\/strong>!<\/span><\/p>\n

But are we ready to leave technology at home? What if we need to search for a last minute hotel, talk to our family, check where we are on a map, find a good restaurant or translate a few words just to get an idea of what’s on the menu?<\/span><\/p>\n

You will quickly find out there is a one-gadget solution<\/strong> to all your travel needs: a tablet.<\/span><\/p>\n

I know we were talking about digital detox, but we realized that our customers like to take their Maglus<\/span><\/a> on holiday with them and so I did it, too. \u00a0I love travelling and brought my iPad and Maglus with me to Italy and found out it’s a great tool for every task.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can take a picture and write on it ( turning it into a postcard), send an email, keep a travel diary, listen to music or watch a movie ( which is what I usually do to kill the boredom of a never-ending journey) using one lightweight device with an outstanding battery life compared to a smartphone or laptop.<\/span><\/p>\n

The tablet is a great entertainment tool for me to also capture and share moments<\/strong> with my family and friends!<\/span><\/p>\n

I use it as a camera, a map, a book, a travel guide and more. We\u2019re given an endless list of apps for every task<\/strong>: language aids, maps, finding a last-minute hotel (booking.com) or a restaurant (tripadvisor).<\/span><\/p>\n

I would suggest to download those apps, movies or music before heading off on holiday and place them on your home screen for quick access, you won\u2019t have good connection everywhere you go. I would also download a weather application if you plan on spending a lot of time outside and an app that shows the arrival and departure boards for any airport to check your flights.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s not a computer and the touch keyboard is not really user-friendly – you can check emails and write short replies, but you can\u2019t really work with it (just in case, don\u2019t\u00a0tell your boss that your tablet is with you!). You need to disconnect while on vacation.<\/span><\/p>\n
