I’ve had my Magnus for some time now. I had a problem with it early on where the glue holding the rubber grips softened to where the grips would slide around. I emailed Magnus about the problem and your customer support sent me a new pair of grips with self-adhesive backs.

I easily peeled the original grips off and cleaned all the old glue off, using alcohol to finally clean the surface of any invisible residue from the other products used to remove residual original glue. I applied the new grips and within a couple weeks had the same problem as with the originals.

Subsequently, I tried some different glues but nothing would adhere to the aluminum. I’m now using the magnus without the grips.

Have you guys solved this problem? I was thinking that maybe some tiny round protrusions on the back of the grip corresponding to holes in the aluminum body would prevent the grip from sliding out of place, even when the glue became soft from the warmth of my hands.

While I still use my Magnus, and I still love it, the lack of rubber grips detracts from its aesthetics and prevents me from bragging about it to my friends.
