There’s a lot expected of the upcoming iPhone 6, likely scheduled for release mid-September 2014.
Why? Becasue the last two iterations of the iPhone, the 5S and 5C, were just minor tweaks of the iPhone 5, and if you look at the newest offerings from Samsung, Sony, HTC and LG there’s a lot of pressure on Apple to pull something bloody great out of the bag with the iPhone 6.
These new-gen phones cross over into phablet territory (a portmanteau word, crossing “phone” with “tablet“), with heaps more valuable screen real estate as standard. With this leap comes many more work and creative possibilities – and we think it means a stylus is a must for getting the most out of these mini computers with maxi screens.
All current and future Maglus products work with all the capacitive touch screen phones, phablets and tablets – including, of course, the upcoming iPhone 6.
Screen sizes: the lowdown
Here’s how the current phones stack up, screen size-wise (measured along the diagonal, in case you weren’t sure):
LG G3: 5.5 inches (13.97 cm)
Samsung Galaxy S4: 5.1 inches (12.95 cm)
Sony Xperia Z2: 5.2 inch (13.21 cm)
HTC One (M8): 5 inches (12.7 cm)
iPhone 5: 4 inches (10.16 cm)
The iPhone 6 is rumoured to come in at 4.7 inches (11.94 cm) , but there’s a strong possibility of another release, maybe called the iPhone Air or iPhone 6L, later in the year, with a screen size of 5.5 inches (13.97 cm)!
However, we all know that, while size is important, it’s what you do with it that counts.
So you can rest assured – the Maglus will be a pleasure to use, with whatever phone, tablet, or phablet, you end up with!
