Hi guys, Paula here..
Once again, I’m leaving you in the capable hands of Noel Joyce. This week, he is talking about new and exciting tech developments. Noel lives and breathes design and technology! So he is the ideal person to tell you more about the future of products coming our way in the not so distant future. Lucky for us, these developments will work perfectly with the Maglus product range! We’re looking forward to interacting and embracing the next generation of design. Now over to Noel to explain some more…
For a few months now we have been hearing all the rumours about the next generation of iPad and iPhones. It’s been pretty interesting as with the advent of the new Apple Watch, Apple have introduced several new technologies that while they are not as apparent right now will probably change how we interact with (in particular Apple) devices.
I haven’t been on here in a couple of weeks as I have been away. I have just returned from San Francisco where some startups whoose projects I worked on were launching their new products. It was a great trip and one on which I got to check out the Autodesk Gallery in downtown SF. Autodesk happen to make a couple of awesome iPadapps that give a good intro to the world of design from the perspective of digital sketching and 3d modelling.
While I was in China and when I got a couple of minutes, I spent a little time working on a new product idea I have been thinking about. Its really amazing how quickly an idea can be developed when working in Shenzhen. As with all product ideas they need to be fleshed out with some sketching and for this I use my trusty Maglus with Graphite Tip and Notebook.
In the case of this particular project it has already been established what the product will do, in this
picture a map has been made to show how it will work. Once I got this work done I could hit the markets and find some components for the electronic components.
Noel has put together another great blog post for us. He is preparing for a work trip to San Francisco, but he managed to squeeze out a post before he jets off! This time, he covers an app that you might not have heard of. But believe us, its worth checking out! Read what Noel has to say below. And as always, comment, tweet or get in touch whatever way suits. We love hearing your feedback….
Noel here again,
One of the cooler drawing apps I have used is called Zen Brush. It’s not one of the more popular apps but it is pretty unique. It has very little in the way of tools and so it is pretty easy to get to grips with. So for all you techno-phobes, this should be perfect!
Noel is taking the reigns once again this week. This time, he’s explaining some nice features about the detail and thought behind the Maglus. We think it gives a great insight into a product when you get to hear about it’s process directly from the designer. So read on, let us know your thoughts… and enjoy! – Paula
Hi all, Noel here again, I’m going to keep this post short.
I felt it was worth briefly covering this topic as it’s something people have mentioned. Writing about it seems the obvious way to explain it! As a designer, its nice to be able to point out the little details that I make sure are included in the design of a product. Features can be overlooked and often the customer doesn’t realise the tiny things that are considered in every step of a product’s development!
So that being said, heres a blog post about the keyring…. and its reason for existence!
